We are pleased to launch the secondΒ of several TLC GuidesΒ that the Teaching and Learning CenterΒ will publish over the coming weeks: “WAC/WID and QR.”
This guide, compiled by TLC Writing Fellow Anke Geertsma, provides an introduction to and overview of the Writing Across the Curriculum/Writing in the Disciplines and Quantitative Reasoning programs at CUNY. Many Graduate Center students will, in their fifth years, be placed in WAC/WID or QR Fellowships across the university, where they will work with faculty and staff to support a range of writing and numeracy curricular initiatives. While the QRF program is relatively new to CUNY, the WAC Program has been a fundamental component of curricular efforts at CUNY for nearly two decades, and a core element in the professional development of doctoral candidates at the Graduate Center. Read more about them here.
This guide, like all others published by the TLC, will beΒ an evolving document, and we will revisit it each semester to update it and make appropriate changes. If you would like to request a change or an addition, we encourage you to submit a change request via this form.
Stay tuned for more TLC Guides in the coming weeks!
