The CUNY Graduate Centerβs Teaching and Learning Center invites applications for Teaching and Learning Center Fellowships for the 2024-2025 academic year.
TLC Fellows support CUNY Graduate Center students who are teaching across CUNY by consulting with graduate instructors during office hours, developing workshops and Focused Inquiry Groups, producing content for the Centerβs Teach@CUNY Handbook, planning the Teach@CUNY Institutes, and contributing to a range of special projects. For more on TLC programming, visit our website at http://cuny.is/teaching.
In Fall 2024 the TLC will be welcoming fellows who will join the Center with the following specific roles:

- Open Digital Projects Fellow (1): In this role the Fellow will help manage and update the TLCβs open web projects including the Workshop Archive, Assignment Library, GC Open Education website, and other duties as assigned. Familiarity with the CUNY Academic Commons required.
- Open Teaching Fellows (1+): In this role the Fellow(s) will undertake and otherwise facilitate visits to graduate student instructors’ class sessions in order to provide supportive feedback on pedagogical approaches, classroom activities, and course design.
TLC Fellows report to the director of the Teaching and Learning Center, and will be expected to work both independently and in collaboration with other TLC staff members. Ideal candidates will be deeply engaged with teaching and learning at CUNY, and will be experienced college teachers familiar with current pedagogical conversations. Strong writing, digital, and presentational skills are required, as is current enrollment in a doctoral program at the Graduate Center. The fellowship is limited to doctoral students who will be entering years 4-7 of study at the Graduate Center.
Fellows will be expected to be available to attend meetings in person at the Graduate Center throughout the academic year.
