The Center for Excellence in Teaching & Learning offers faculty support through workshops and online resources. The CETL also offers a Research Challenge Grant available to all QCC faculty, including adjuncts.
The Academic Computing Center offers personalized help with the Blackboard environment, applications like Power Point, Front Page, scanning, digital photography and video or audio recording.They offer frequent Instructional Technology Workshops.
Starfish (Early Alert) is an early warning and student tracking system. It is a web based tool that helps faculty to identify at-risk students and then manage support efforts through meaningful contact between students and their advisers, tutors, and instructors.
The Writing Intensive Program supports faculty developing of writing-based pedagogy and practice.
The Office of Institutional Research Assessment supports the academic, student affairs, and other administrative functions of QCC by providing information for decision making and planning. Using institutional documents, such as the Mission Statement and Strategic Plan, the IRO initiates research and evaluation studies for assessing institutional effectiveness, program evaluation and student learning outcomes.
